1979 Honda® CBX 1100 SUPER SPORT

This 1979 Honda CBX was acquired by us over 20 years ago. The bike is finished in metallic red with a black center stripe and side panels and is powered by a 1,047cc inline-six paired with a five-speed transmission. Equipment includes a two-up seat, an oil cooler, Accel ignition wires, clip-on handlebars, triple disc brakes, ComStar wheels, and both center and side stands.
The bike is finished in metallic red with black stripes and gold and orange pinstripes as well as black side covers. Details include a two-up seat with a passenger grab strap as well as chrome passenger grab handles, black mirrors, and both center and side stands. ComStar wheels measuring 19 up front and 18 out back. Suspension consists of a conventional fork as well as dual chrome shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is from twin discs with single-piston calipers and replacement braided stainless-steel hoses up front and a single disc at the rear. Clip-on handlebars are mounted above the top triple clamp. Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 9,500-rpm redline, and a central voltmeter. The 1,047cc DOHC inline-six was factory rated at 105 horsepower and features an oil cooler, four valves per cylinder, an electric starter, aftermarket ignition coils, and Accel spark plug wires. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive chain.
