In 1968 there was a welter of motorcycles available to all. It really was the start of the popular revolution fueled by MILLIONS of motorcycles from Japan. The CA160 was near the top of the line for Honda, and it wasn’t a Benley (though it looked the part). It was officially the CA160 Dream and Honda said it was a touring machine. It still had the pressed steel frame, the boxy look and inadequate front suspension. But you could park it on your driveway and it wouldn’t leak so much as a drop of oil.

The 1968 CA160 featured a 161 CC air cooled four stroke single overhead cam parallel twin with a single carb that made 16.5 HP for a top speed of 68 MPH (made it California Freeway legal). A 4 speed transmission and completely enclosed chain made it look and stay clean. The CA160 was sold in North America only.
